    Written by famed mystery writer Raymond Chandler,this Alan Ladd, Veronica Lake piece of noir was a huge hit when it was released. Ladd at the time was on of the top box-office draws at the time. And the films "Dahlia" reference was later borrowed in L.A.'s infamous, Black Dahlia murder.
